The Challenge

Just when you thought cooking ramen noodles couldn’t get any easier, the Rapid Ramen Cooker came to the DR industry to prove you wrong! Marketed as “the world’s fastest and easiest way to cook perfect ramen noodles,” this microwavable cooker promised to cook your noodles to delicious perfection in just minutes. In an industry ripe with cooking products, how would the Rapid Ramen keep such a bold promise?

The Solution

After appearing on Shark Tank and receiving an investment from billionaire Mark Cuban, the Rapid Ramen rapidly became a hit. With features on several popular television and radio programs, including Good Morning America and On Air with Ryan Seacrest, the Rapid Ramen was quickly launched into DR stardom. When they came to Mojo, our job was to give their customers a more streamlined method of purchasing the product. With Mojo cooking up the web design and e-commerce side of things, the Rapid Ramen easily became one of the most popular DR products of the past few years.

Christopher Johnson, the inventor of Rapid Ramen, received the opportunity of a lifetime in 2013 when he learned that he would be appearing on ABC’s hit show “Shark Tank” to pitch his Rapid Ramen Cooker to 5 of the most successful entrepreneurs in the country. His appearance was a massive success – Johnson struck a deal with billionaire investor Mark Cuban and sales exploded! The Rapid Ramen brand was able to expand and become part of Rapid Brands, which now sells a wide variety of kitchenware.

Following the feature on Shark Tank, Rapid Ramen quickly began selling in retail stores. While its DR campaign was a success, the retail campaign has also proved to be a hit. Rapid Ramen, as well as other products from Rapid Brands, can now be found in over 50,000 retail stores across the country including Wal-Mart, Target, Bed Bath & Beyond, CVS, and Walgreens. They also appear in over 1,100 college bookstores nationwide. The Rapid Ramen Cooker has helped provide quick meals to thousands of studying students all over the country.
